Your first decision, is to work out which area of pedagogy you want to work on. Some of these can be done ‘standalone’, whether or not you are undertaking a design thinking ‘feel’ project – for example, working on quality feedback (3) or questioning (2 – Engineering effective discussions that elicit evidence of learning). Others, such as sharing learning intentions, are directly helped by taking a design thinking approach – sharing learning intentions is highly motivating in an “immersion” phase, as learners grapple with diverse, complex new and old information.
So, first up, make a decision about which area of the five above you are already doing some good work in, and want to develop further. Post your chosen area to our Google+ community.
